Counseling
Our Counselors
The faculty and administration of Hume-Fogg are dedicated to providing a challenging college preparatory program for the academically talented and diverse public school community we serve. Hume-Fogg is committed to maximizing individual potential through hard-work and personal responsibility.
Cornerstones of the program are the development of integrity, decision-making skills, and in-depth pursuit of interests. The Hume-Fogg Guidance department provides counseling, consultation, and coordination to:
- Support students' academic and personal growth
- Prepare students for higher education
The Counseling Office is open during school hours to all Hume-Fogg students and their parents. The department has four full-time counselors:
- Mrs. Kanika Childress - Students A-G
- Mrs. Jeanetta Harper - Students H-O
- Ms. Katherine Sanford - Students P-Z
- Dr. Scott Underwood - Special Populations
- Special populations include students who have additional supports in place including but not limited to those with IEPs, 504 plans, EL and other special services.
