Meet the Soccer Coaching Staff

Head Coach Philip Lovell, a 2008 Hume-Fogg graduate, has served as head girls' soccer coach since 2017. Prior to that, he was the assistant to Tracy McClain from 2012-2016. During his time as an assistant, Coach Lovell helped the team to 2 district championships, 1 region championship, and 1 state tournament appearance. Coach Lovell has been a teaching AP Human Geography at Hume-Fogg since 2015.

Assistant to the Head Coach, Christopher Hedglin, hails from the great state of Mississippi. Before coming to Hume-Fogg, he led programs at Northwest Rankin, Oxford Station Camp and coached in the Mississippi All-Star game. He has 17 years of teaching experience and currently teaches AP US History to juniors.

Together, this coaching duo has led the Blue Knights to 3 District championships, 1 Sectional championship, and a run to the State semifinals in 2020. They are both incredibly proud of winning games but are the proudest of the warm, welcoming community that the young women of Hume-Fogg have created for this soccer team.
